Making a window into a doorway. |
The Task:- This Sunday (28/03/04) was decided to be the next big step in the "Extension Building Project" at my sister and brother-in-laws house. The new kitchen is installed and fully functional, just one slight problem it can only be accessed from outside, yes you have to go out the old front door and in the new front door, there is NO access from the original house to the new extension (Kitchen and Study) at ground level...yet So it was now time to join the extension to the original house by turning a small window opening into a door way. Easy you may think, apart from it being a 13 inch thick sandstone wall..... A few hours later we got there! Please view the floor plan and pictures below:- |
